Lexus Manila has something to impress the crowds at the 6th Philippine International Motor Show this weekend as the LC500h, the brand's hybrid luxury coupe, has been shown to the Philippine public for the first time.
The LC500h draws inspiration from the LF-LC concept that debuted in 2012 and is positioned as Lexus’ flagship coupe.
The main technical highlight of the LC 500h is its powertrain, combining a high-performance engine and the latest in hybrid technology. The LC500h displayed at PIMS is powered by a 3.5 liter V6 mated to the company's first Multi Stage Hybrid System which is said to be designed specifically for performance vehicles.
Featuring the latest iteration of the brand's 'L-Finesse' design philosophy, the LC 500h's body boasts a variety of materials that includes high-strength steel, lightweight carbon fiber and aluminium. At the front, the signature 'Spindle Grill' stretches downwards, giving the luxury coupe a more aggessive look. It is then complemeted by the upswept Daytime Running Lights and LED headlamps positioned on the far corners. More of the 'L-Finesse' philosophy can be seen at the rear of the LC 500h with its tail lights and defined character lines.
Inside, the LC500 gets inspiration from the LFA supercar with its distinct dashboard and instrument binncle. In terms of trim, semi-aniline leather in varying shades are also seen in the LC500h. The door cards, on the other hand, appear to flow towards the dashboard.
First deliveries of the Lexus LC500 will take place around May 2017. Prices, on the other hand, have yet to be released as well.
