Mazda Philippines highlighted its presence at the 6th Philippine International Motor Show with the launch of their CX-3 crossover.
First launched at the 2014 Los Angeles International Motor Show, the CX-3 was the automaker's fifth model to use Kodo – Soul of Motion design language.
Starting with the exterior, its front fascia features the brand's distinctive grille and headlights. It has bumper integrated with turning signals and fog lamps, and black wheel lip arches. At the back, it gets sleek wraparound daylights.
Inside, the Mazda CX-3 crossover gets a driver-oriented cabin, along with Mazda's human-machine interface (HMI). Placed at the center is a 7-inch LCD that manages various infotainment functions like navigation, audio and Bluetooth as such. Higher-end models will even come with Active Driving Display. Another amenity included is an infotainment package which houses the MZD Connect in-car connectivity system.
In terms of trim, the Pro and Sport models are upholstered in fabric while the top-of-the-range Activ gets leather seats.
Powering all variants of the CX-3 is a 2.0-liter SkyActiv-G inline-four which delivers 148 PS @ 6,000 rpm along with 192 Nm of torque at 2,800 rpm. It is then married to a 6-speed automatic transmission that drives the front wheels. The range-topping Activ and Sport models come with the brand's i-Stop idling system which they claim improves fuel consumption.
Other available features in the new CX-3 are: LED headlights with auto on/off switch, 7-speaker Bose sound system, LED foglights, anti-lock brakes and stability control.
Available colors for the FWD Pro include Crystal White Pearl and Dynamic Blue. Meanwhile, the FWD Sport gets additional finishes; Jet Black and the trim-exclusive Titanium Flash. The AWD Activ, on the other hand, can be had in Ceramic which complets the five color hues for the CX-3.
