Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI) will soon have a seven-seater mini crossover after the automaker announced that the BR-V will be making its local debut at the 6th Philippine International Motor Show.

According to HCPI, the upcoming crossover is their answer to the local market's growing need for a seven-seater vehicle that blends style and versatility and features. In addition, the BR-V was designed by Honda R&D Asia Pacific specifically for emerging markets in Asia

First launched at the 2015 Thailand Motor Expo, the BR-V was billed as an 'Active Sport Crossover' that features a high-ground clearance along with a unique front and rear design. The Thai-spec BR-V is propelled by a 1.5-liter SOHC i-VTEC engine that puts out 117 PS at 6,000 rpm and 146 Nm of torque. It is then mated to an Earth Dreams developed continuously variable transmission that drives thefront wheels.

The upcoming Honda BR-V will be displayed from September 14 – 18 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
