Available in either standard or long wheelbase versions

Mercedes-Benz's latest people carrier has been officially launched as new V-Class was presented at the 6th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS).

It now bears the brand's current design language with its sleek profile, swept-up LED headlights and large tri-star front grill emblem. The V-Class will be available in two wheelbase models, 5,170mm and 5,370mm. In addition, the new V-Class also has a 1,880mm height.

Inside, the luxury van is upholstered in Nappa leather. These include the seats, multifunction steering wheel and door trim. The signature touchpad also makes its way in the new V-Class and comes with a center-dash mounted infotainment system. Among the amenities that can be done on the onboard system are: navigation, audio control, web browsing and hands-free calling.

Under the hood, the V-Class is driven by the V 220 CDI powertrain. The 2.2-liter inline-four turbo-diesel generates 163 PS at 3,800 rpm and 380 Nm of torque. It is then mated to a 7-speed G-Tronic automatic gearbox. Top speed is rated at 194 km/h.

Over to safety, the V-Class carries several. It has a 360-degree camera, Distronic Plus proximity control, Collision Prevent Assist, Traffic Sign Assist, Lane Keeping Assist and Adaptive High Beam Assist.
