After revealing the BJ20 SUV and the M50S MPV last September, BAIC Philippines now revealed their larger more, premium MPV – the M60 – at the currently on-going Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) 2018.
The new BAIC M60 is said to be the brand’s more premium MPV but is still offered at a very affordable price. Styling wise, the M60 takes on distinct look compared to BAIC’s other MPV, the M50S but still carry the rugged crossover look. It is also appears to be larger and longer than the sporty M50S, but continues to be a 7-seat vehicle.
Up front, the large, bold grill, which is flanked by large projector headlights gives the M60 more presence compared to other MPVs. Right below it are the foglights, which further improve night time visibility. Black plastic body cladding then runs the length of the MPV, giving it a more rugged look at the same time. At the rear, there are wrap around taillights and an integrated diffuser fitted on the bumper. Stylish 17-inch wheels then complete the M60’s exterior design.
Inside, there’s a plush interior with black and white leather seats. The dashboard also looks upscale with a large infotainment screen positioned at the center, just above the air-con vents. Other features include a keyless entry, push to start/stop, and even steering wheel controls. ABS+EBD, dual airbags and a reverse camera also come standard.
Under the hood, the BAIC M60 is being offered with a Euro-5 level 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine producing 135 PS and is mated to a continously variable transmission (CVT). Power is then sent to the rear wheels.
The price for the BAIC M60 starts at Php 998,000.
