New York 2014 Preview: Porsche Boxster GTS ready to hit the road


Features more powerful engine and additional standard performance equipment

The Porsche Boxster will now be available as a GTS model. Porsche says the vehicle features more powerful engine and additional standard performance equipment.

The front end of the vehicle is designed with a blacked out bi-xenon headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System. It has 20-inch Carrera S wheels and a sport exhaust system with black tailpipes as standard. The automaker says the Boxster GTS is built specifically for maximum driving pleasure.

It is powered by a 3.4 liter 6-cylinder engine that delivers an output of 335PS with 370Nm of torque. The Porsche Boxster GTS is also equipped with a Sport Chrono package as a standard feature with either the 6-speed manual or the optional 7-speed Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) transmission. With the optional PDK transmission and Sport Plus button activated, the Boxster GTS can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 4.4 seconds with a top speed of 280km/h in manual transmission.
