Joining the parade with Boxster GTS, Porsche Cayman will also be available in GTS model. Porsche says the Cayman GTS model features more powerful engine and additional standard performance equipment.
Cayman GTS is also designed with a blacked out bi-xenon headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System. It has 20-inch Carrera S wheels and a sport exhaust system with black tailpipes as standard. Porsche says the Cayman GTS, same as the Boxster GTS, is built specifically for maximum driving pleasure.
The vehicle is powered by a 3.4 liter 6-cylinder engine that is capable of producing 345PS with 379Nm of torque. Similar with the Boxster GTS, the Cayman GTS is also equipped with a Sport Chrono package as a standard feature with either the 6-speed manual or the optional 7-speed Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) transmission. With the optional PDK transmission and Sport Plus button activated, the vehicle can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 4.3 seconds with a top speed of 285km/h in manual transmission.
Having the GTS designation for the Cayman and the Boxster marks the first time the emblem has returned since the 1963 Porsche Carrera GTS (904).
