The much anticipated debut of the next generation Yaris is just around the corner, marking Toyota's commitment to the growing hatchback sector.

According to our friends from Toyota's expansive dealer network, the 2014 Yaris will officially go on sale on April 4, 2014, following it's formal launch set to take place on March 31, 2014.

As our sources indicated, Toyota will reportedly be bringing in three variants of the Yaris: the 1.5G 4-A/T, the 1.3E 4-A/T and the 1.3E 5-M/T. Below are the prices relayed to us:

2014 Toyota Yaris 1.5G A/T – PhP 845,000

2014 Toyota Yaris 1.3E A/T – PhP 755,000

2014 Toyota Yaris 1.3E M/T – PhP 720,000

The arrival of the 2014 Yaris with the 1.3L engine means that Toyota's subcompact hatchback (positioned above the recently launched Wigo) starts at a lower price than the model it replaces given that the current generation was only sold as a 1.5G. Overall, however, the significantly larger 2014 Yaris 1.5G A/T is pricier than the early 2014 Yaris at PhP 771,000.

We asked if there were any news about a 1.5G with the 5-speed manual gearbox, but they stated that a 1.5G 5-M/T was not included in the price list. Expect the specs to mimic that of each variant's respective counterpart in the Vios range, the sedan version of the Yaris.

What do you think about these dealer prices for the Yaris?
