Motorists can now be relieved as the EDSA People Power Commision (EPPC) annouced that the said street will only be closed on February 25. The EPPC earlier annouced a two week preparation plan that to affect White Plains Avenue traffic flow from February 14 to 29.
Public outrage has prompted EPPC to revise its previous plan to set up the 'Experimental Museum' along White Plains Avenue. The construction of the said museum will instead take place inside Camp Aguinaldo.
EPPC initially said that they will close White Plains Avenue (between Corinthian Subd and Camp Aguinaldo) going to EDSA (westbound) from February 14 to 29.
In addition, the northbound lane of EDSA Ortigas to EDSA Santolan will be closed on February 25, while the eastbound and westbound lanes of Ortigas Ave. will remain open to motorists.
Other than the Mabuhay lanes, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) advises the public to take alternate routes such as the following:
For White Plains: use Kamias Rd., Aurora Blvd., P. Tuazon, Boni Serrano/Santolan, Ortigas, C5; the MMDA will allow traffic from White Plains to Temple Drive (no u-turn since White Plains is closed).
For EDSA: use Mckinley Rd./Kalayaan/Pioneer to C5, Roxas Blvd./Quirino/Osmena, Ayala, Buendia, R. Magsaysay Blvd., Quezon Ave. to go north.

EPPC is expecting a large number of students coming from south and north of Manila on board buses to participate to walk through the 'Experimental Museum'. The walkthrough is estimated to last 50 minutes.
