The 2015 Peugeot 508 officially made its offical reveal ahead of its debut in August at the Moscow and Chengdu Motor Shows.
The French automaker says the 508 is available initially as a Saloon or SW estate, with a third version arriving a year later.
The Peugeot 508 is designed with a new grill that houses the brand’s logo at its center. It comes fitted with LED head lamps, daytime running lights, turn signals and fog lamps. The front bumper of the 508 is also infused with daytime running lamps and the hood of the vehicle is redesigned.
The tail lamps of the 508 are also restyled with a more horizontal shape than the previous model. The 508 also has a new rear bumper.
Inside, the dashboard has a 7-inch touch screen that is infused with most of the vehicle functionalities. The touch screen display with access to Peugeot Connect Apps can provide traffic and weather information, free parking spaces nearby and fuel prices at gas stations in the vicinity.
It also features a new center console storage box, a four-zone climate control system and a JBL audio system. Adding to the list is the head-up display, positioned in front of the driver, that provides driving and navigation information. Peugeot also offers the optional reversing camera and blind spot sensors.
The 2015 Peugeot 508 is powered either by a petrol or diesel engine. The 1.6-liter THP petrol engine with start/stop technology delivers 167 PS mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The 2.0-liter BlueHDI diesel engine generates 152 PS mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
The Peugeot 508 will be launched in Europe in September 10 with China to follow in January 2015.
