Might be released after the upcoming Audi Q1
After debuting the second-generation Audi Q7 SUV at the 2015 North American International Auto Show, Rupert Stadler, CEO of Audi AG, recently announced that the company is planning to reveal a range-topping SUV that will go on sale by 2020.
No official photos or specifications have been released by Audi yet but according to Stadler, the company is working on this project heavily as it will strengthen the brand.
Currently, Audi is selling three SUV nameplates: the Q3, the Q5 and the next-generation Q7. The upcoming Audi Q1 is due to be out by 2016 and if ever Audi pulls through with the Q8, the company will have a total of 5 SUVs available in the market.
The closest competitor of the Audi Q8 might be the BMW X7 which is still under development.
