Report: Ex Scuderia Ferrari boss rumored to become Lamborghini CEO

Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann reportedly leaving for Audi Quattro

Stefano Domenicali, former Scuderia Ferrari team boss, is rumored to become the next Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lamborghini.

Domenicali resigned as Scuderia Ferrari team principal last April 2014 after having a poor season start in Formula One. He was replaced by Marco Mattiaci who took charge of the Ferrari F1 team for seven months.

After resigning from Ferrari, Domenicali joined Audi in October 2014 and is speculated to lead the brand's Formula One entry next year. However, Audi said that the company hired Domenicali to work on other projects.

On the other hand, Stephan Winkelmann, who has been President and CEO of Lamborghini for the past 10 years will reportedly be assigned at Audi Quattro GmbH, which produces high performance cars.
