Land Rover Defender is not yet ready to quit
Production of the Land Rover Defender is reportedly set to continue until early next year as demand remains high.
This news is in contrary to the previous announcement made by Land Rover wherein they plan to phase out the classic 4x4 vehicle by December 2015. Last January, Land Rover announced a year of celebration to mark the final year of Defender production at its Solihull plant in the UK.
As of this writing, the Birmingham Post reports that Land Rover has yet to decide on when Defender production will draw to a close. In addition, an anonymous source told the publication that the production will extend until February 2016.
