Lexus is reportedly planning to introduce a second flagship model to slot alongside the LS sedan.

According to Reuters, Lexus division general manager Jeff Bracken said that the company needs a new flagship model.

Bracken did not reveal the exact type of vehicle that Lexus had on the drawing board, but he said that the new flagship model doesn't necessarily have to be a sedan. With that in mind, the model could be an SUV.

Bracken adds Lexus will reveal more details regarding the company's new flagship model in January.
