Nissan's subcompact hatchback, the Micra, is due for an all new model next year. Nissan bosses promise a quality boost for the all-new Micra after the current generation model was met with lukewarm reviews. One criticism about the current Micra is its average interior.

Nissan aims to address the criticsm with a quality boost and design cues taken from the Nissan Sway Concept which was unviled in the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. In a brief interview with Autocar, Trevor Mann, executive vice-president for Nissan UK, says the upcoming Micra is likely to grow in size to make way for a smaller hatchback in the range. Mann declined to give further details regarding the upcoming small hatchback. For the next generation Micra, Mann added “We have listened to feedback and I think you will see a big difference in the next-generation model."

With the upcoming Micra to follow Nissan's new design language, expect the model to come with the company's V-Motion grill and boomerang style front and rear lights.
