Recently reborn British sportscar company TVR will debut their new vehicle sometime September of 2017. There are a select few however that have already seen the upcoming TVR in a closed-doors event ahead of its official launch. How did the select few get chosen? Well they are those that have already placed a deposit for the new V8 rear-wheel drive coupe.

Those fortunate enough to attend the event had the opportunity to learn about the technical details regarding the upcoming TVR. As of the moment, the only technical details known is that the car will be powered by a front-mounted V8 engine developed by Cosworth, which will generate excess of 400 PS.

The new model is also rumored to have bring back the long running “Griffith” nameplate, meaning it will be lightweight much like its predecessors. It is said to weigh around 1,200 kg, which combined with the Cosworth V8, is capable of going from 0 – 97 km/h in less than four seconds. Top speed is rated at 322 km/h.

Outside, expect the usual retro styling that the British marque has imposed on their previous lineup of vehicles. As for the actual design of the upcoming Griffith, those of us who are not fortunate enough to attend the closed-doors event will have to make do with the teaser photos.

Despite the unveiling set this September, TVR's new factory will not be up until next year. This meand buyers will have to wait until late 2018 or early 2019 for delivery of their vehicles.
