Geely Philippines only entered the local automotive market last year. Despite being a newcomer, the brand has already grown bigger from when it began. In order to take the company even further, Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP), the official distributors of Geely in the country, has now chosen their first-ever brand ambassadors. Yes, that's plural. Because there is not just one, but instead there are two Geely brand ambassadors.

SGAP formally introduces singer/songwriter Rico Blanco and TV host/news personality Gretchen Ho as Geely Philippines’ pioneer brand ambassadors. Both Blanco and Ho expressed their thoughts about the Geely brand. Specifically, they hope to change public opinion about the brand and want them to try out the models for themselves.

“I think everyone agrees that the Coolray is a great car. It’s just that people are not brave enough to try it out and I think that’s our job now,” Blanco said.


Meanwhile, Ho added, “I can’t wait to spread the word about it. And just like Rico, I go for the new things. I go for something different and unconventional… striking. I think that Geely has a promising future here in the Philippines.”

Interestingly, it seems Blanco himself is a Geely owner and has owned a Coolray prior to even becoming a brand ambassador for the automaker. He even gave inputs about the model and his journey of ownership with the Coolray.

So, don't be surprised if you see Rico Blanco and/or Gretchen Ho more often in future of Geely, be it in billboards, commercials or print. You might even catch them hosting the launch of upcoming Geely models in the future.
