Rolls-Royce Motor Cars recently designated former BMW i3 and i8 interior designer Daniel Starke as the company's new Head of Interior Design. Starke replaces Alan Sheppard who will now lead Rolls-Royce's Color Material and Accessories Design.

“We are delighted to welcome Daniel to the Rolls-Royce family. His considerable design experience, proven track record and contemporary thinking are an ideal match for the world’s leading luxury company. He will be a very valuable addition to the Rolls Royce design team,” said Giles Taylor, Rolls-Royce Director of Design.

Daniel Starke was born in Subotica, former Yugoslavia and grew up in the Netherlands. He holds a degree in Automotive Design from the University of Applied Science, Pforzheim, Germany and can speak several languages including English, German and Dutch. His career in design started out with Volkswagen and Audi before moving to the Interior Design Team of BMW in 2001. He became the Head of Interior Design for BMW i in 2009, in which he was responsible for styling the cabin of the i3 and i8.

Both Starke and Sheppard will begin their new posts in immediate effect.
