A new player in the concept car scene of Salon Privé will arrive in the form of the Spyker B6 Venator Spyder Concept this September. The concept convertible hails from the Dutch auto manufacturer Spyker.
The design continues to project Spyker’s qualities: pure, bold and engaging. The latest model, designed by Chief Executive Officer Victor Muller, possesses aviation-inspired lines and features that hints its history. The cockpit alone resembles an aircraft with its gauges, switches and controls.
The mid-engined convertible has an all carbon-fiber body and aluminum platform powered by a 380 PS V6 engine mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission. It is 4347 mm long with a wheelbase of 2500 mm and curb weight of less than 1400 kg.
The Spyker B6 Venator Concept will begin production in late 2014 for key markets in Europe, Middle East, Asia Pacific and India followed by the US in early 2015.
