New trucks from Scania to be more fuel efficient
A new line of trucks from Scania will be hitting the roads soon after the brand unveiled their new truck range in Paris. According to Scania, the new trucks are a result of ten years of development and considered to be their biggest investment in 125 years.
“Today we are not just launching a new truck range but also a unique, ingenious toolbox of sustainable solutions in the form of products and services that Scania is first in the industry to be able to deliver – and I feel I can claim this with confidence. We are focusing firmly on our main task: to give our customers the necessary tools for achieving profitability in the one business that really means something to them, namely their own,” said Henrik Henriksson, President and CEO of Scania.
The new truck range now offers a unique modular system which will provide more performance stages, connectivity and a wide array of productivity-enhancing services as well as sustainable transportation solutions that are designed for each type of their customer. The aim is to provide an overview of both the costs and revenues.
Also, including in its several improvements is the apparent 5-percent lower fuel consumption which is achieved with the help of revamped powertrains and aerodynamics.
At least 40,000 customers were invited to test drive and experience first hand Scania's new truck range on site in Sodertalje, Swednen. In the same event, Scania also introduced sustainability optimization, financing, insurance, and maintenance for their trucks
