Seat reveals the Leon SC Cupra 280 Ultimate, which is based on the very first front-wheel production vehicle to take the Nürburgring Nordschleife under eight minutes.
It comes with the ‘Ultimate Sub8 Performance Pack’ that includes lightweight multi-spoke 19-inch alloys in black or orange, 30mm larger brakes with Brembo calipers, Michelin Sport Cup 2 tyres, body coloured side skirts, multi-spoke alloys in black or orange, plus series of weight reduction measures and the assurance that each can be personalized to suit its owner.
Better in every way than the award-winning Leon which it was based on, it employs plenty of weight reduction techniques including swapping climate control for a simpler heating system, reduction of speakers, removal of the center console armrest, rear air vents and the storage boxes under the front seat.
Options have been taken away but customers can choose between a six-speed manual or a DSG transmission.
It does come with high-end equipment features that include DCC (Dynamic Chassis Control) and Cupra Drive Profile, providing the choice of Normal, Sport, Cupra and Individual settings, to adjust the suspension, throttle sensitivity, gearbox and engine note, depending on the driver’s preference. There’s also cruise control, rear-parking sensors, touchscreen satellite navigation and tire pressure monitor.
