Mercedes-Benz has introduced four Metris midsize van concepts at the 2014 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas.
The Metris, marketed as V-Class in other markets, is designed to preview Mercedes-Benz's new midsize van entry into the United States and Canada. The four Metris midsize van concepts include the RENNtech: Party/DJ van; the HQ Custom Design: Luxury van; the RADO: Fire Chief Concept Truck; and Garmin: Mobile Golf Pro Shop.
RENNtech: Party/DJ van
The RENNtech: Party/DJ van features a clamshell style roof that opens and acts as a backdrop for a DJ. The van is also fitted with additional lights as seen on the front bumper, grill, fenders, roof, side skirts and window surrounds.
HQ Custom Design: Luxury van
Luxury is probably one of Mercedes-Benz's key design elements. With this, it is only fitting that they come up with the HQ Custom Design: Luxury van. Mercedes-Benz says the interior of the said van offers the best in audio/visual that is surrounded by the finest craftsmanship and attention to detail.
RADO: Fire Chief Concept Truck
Mercedes-Benz believes that the van's dimensions are well suited to take on the role as a mobile command unit for fire departments. With this, the German automaker introduces the RADO: Fire Chief concept truck that could “transport a Fire Chief to all locations in many situations.”
Garmin: Mobile Golf Pro Shop
The Garmin: Mobile Golf Pro Shop features a golf simulator and an infotainment system. The golf simulator enables players to evaluate their game and simulate potential outcomes. The van can also serve as a one-stop shop for golf enthusiasts.
