Chevrolet will introduce 2 US-version Colorado concepts that will show the versatility and capability of the midsize pickup. Additionally, each of the 2 Colorado concepts will also convey a specific active lifestyle that can suit to those that opt for any of the concepts.
First is the Chevrolet Colorado Nautique concept that is finished in a two-tone black and orange paint. It is paired with the matching Super Air Nautique 210, one of the industry's iconic wakeboard boats according to Chevrolet. The boat itself weighs 1905 kg while the additional trailer weighs in at 453 kg which is enough for the Colorado's segment leading trailing capability of 3175 kg when equipped with the 3.6-liter V6 engine that creates 309 PS and 364 Nm of torque. The exterior of the Colorado Nautique concept itself gets tubular sidesteps, a tonneau bed cover and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Up next is the Chevrolet Colorado Performance concept that was done in collaboration with motocross racer Ricky Carmichael. He stated that using a full-size pickup is not always the best solution. A more flexible midsize pickup that can carry his bikes around would be more appropriate for him since its cargo bed and engine is just enough for the job.
Its exterior is covered in a matte gray finish and is accented by high gloss silver and yellow vinyl graphics. It has 17-inch Z71 aluminum wheels with yellow highlights and are wrapped in Goodyear Duratec off-road tires. The bed of the Colorado Performance concept is equipped with the brand's patent-pending GearOn system that is designed to hold larger items such as bikes, boards, kayaks above the bed while still having room for smaller items like beds or tents below it. The rear of the truck if fitted with a rear-view camera to make reversing easier when carrying around a large payload.
Under the hood of the Colorado Performance concept is the 3.6-liter V6 that cranks out 309 PS with 364 Nm of torque and has a maximum trailing capacity of 3175 kg, perfect when hauling around heavy gear.
