Shanghai 2013: BMW shows the Concept X4 publicly


Production version to come out next year

After several online previews , BMW officially shows the Concept X4 publicly as it pull its covers off at the 2013 Auto Shanghai. This latest crossover/sports activity vehicle from BMW aims to fill the gap between X-series models and is set to have its production version out by 2014.

Measuring 4,648 mm x 1,915 mm x 1,622 mm (LxWxH) the X4 will sit below the X6  from which it shares the same visual elements and styling cues like its coupe body style, body contours, and the trademark kidney-grilles. Its wide track and low center of gravity ensures maximum stability. Under ride protection elements and gleaming chrome edges presents a fusion of luxurious and robust quality of the vehicles.

Aside from the design details, BMW has yet to reveal any powertrain or technical features. BMW is currently planning to build the new X4 at their  plant in Spartanburg, USA.
