Another brand-new SUV from Haval makes its world premiere at the 2015 Auto Shanghai. Billed as the company's first 'Coupe SUV', the Haval H6 Coupe according to the automaker blends sporty aesthetics and advance powertrain and safety technology.

It has body dimensions that measure 4,549mm in length, 1,835mm in width and 1,700mm in height. Wheelbase on the other hand comes in at 2,720mm which is ideal in the SUV lineup according to Haval. At the front it has a hexagonal grill and wide HID headlights that come with LED daytime running lights.

The side features what Haval calls a staggered approach in applying the H6 Coupe's waistlines and character lines. The sloped roofline on the other hand gives the desired appearance of a fast-back design, hence its H6 Coupe monicker. The rear gets a minimalistic finish as it only consist of rhombus taillights and a simple-looking bumper.

Aboard the H6 Coupe, both the driver and passenger side get power-adjustable seats while an 8-inch TFT screen provides the necessary infotainment function. Completing the interior amenities of the H6 Coupe is an intelligent panoramic sunroof that adjusts itself depending on lighting conditions.

The 2.0-liter motor of the Haval H6 Coupe

Under the hood, the SUV is driven by a gasoline-powered 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that comes with direct injection and dual variable valve timing (dual VVT) . It produces 197 PS along with a torque rating of 315 Nm and can be mated to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. Manual variants will also be available with two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive modes.

A plethora of safety features also come into play on the 5-seater Haval H6 Coupe such as all-around airbags, collapsable steering column and collision fuel cut-off. An assortment of driver aids like Hill Start Assist, Down-Hill Assist, Stability Control and Brake Ovverride come in as standard for the H6 Coupe. In addition, the body of the SUV also gets high safety marks as it scored a five star safety rating according to C-NCAP.
