Stacking up the updated 2015 Grand New Avanza against other MPVs size-wise

The refreshed 2015 Grand New Avanza has just made its Philippine debut and is poised to be quite the contender in the 7-seater compact MPV segment. With a restyled exterior, tweaked cabin and Dual-VVTi engines, the updated Avanza is set to take on the likes of the Chevrolet Spin, Honda Mobilio and Suzuki Ertiga as such.

We have come up with a table that shows how will the Grand New Avanza will measure up against the competition in terms of size.

Based on the measurements, the refreshed Avanza relatively carries over the same dimensions apart from the added 50mm length. In spite of this, the Avanza is still one of the shortest and narrowest MPVs in the market. Toyota's compact MPV however remains the tallest in the competition as its 1,695mm height towers against other brands.

It also has a decent wheelbase but beaten by the Kia Carens and the Suzuki Ertiga who both have a wheelbase measurement beyond 2,700mm.
