Most of us are excited for the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) to end this coming April 30 (assuming there will be no further extensions or modifications). We can go around town, see friends we haven’t seen in more than a month, among many other things. Don’t expect life to return to normal, though. The fear of COVID-19 will still linger, and most businesses will adopt and implement new policies as precautionary measures. Such will be the case for Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP).

The company has announced that it will be implementing and strictly follow new guidelines for dealerships across the country once business resumes the next month. Prior to entering the dealership, body temperature scanning will be done at all entrances. Only those with temperatures below 37.3 degrees Celsius will be allowed to enter.

Also, in compliance with social distancing measures, dealerships will be limiting the number of people allowed inside. As to how many, we presume it will be on a dealer-to-dealer basis.

Internally, all employees will be advised to wear personal protective equipment (face masks at the very least) and continue to observe proper hygiene in order to safely serve all customers. They will also be reminded to prioritize health and safety at all times.

Prior to the reopening next month, TMP has also taken stringent precautionary measures to disinfect and prepare all dealerships. This will ensure the safety and well-being of its customers, affiliates and team members from any possible disease. They will also continuously sanitize the dealership facility in order to prevent any contagion from spreading.
