With Metro Manila already under General Community Quarantine (GCQ), you may now have your vehicle registration or driver’s licenses renewed at LTO (Land Transportation Office) offices around the NCR.

In fact, the LTO Offices in NCR, Laguna, and Region 3 have been fully operational since June 3. However, there are a few LTO offices in Metro Manila that will remain closed as some employees have tested positive after undergoing rapid testing.

Specifically, the LTO-NCR West Regional Office, LTO-Caloocan District Office, LTO-Kalookan Licensing Extension Office, LTO-Navotas Extension Office, and the DLRO-Araneta Square Mall have all been closed until further notice. At the moment, there is no word yet as to when operations at these locations will resume.

In a memorandum released by the agency, all asymptomatic employees that have been in contact with those who tested positive in rapid testing will need to complete 14 days of quarantine in accordance with the Department of Health (DOH) regulations. Meanwhile, those who have tested positive in the rapid test will have to undergo the RT-PCR/swab test for confirmation. Meanwhile, Chief(s) of Offices will have to submit updated reports regarding the employees' status and inform barangay health officials of those who have tested positive.

The affected LTO offices will undergo deep-cleaning and disinfection in order to prevent any employees and individuals from possibly being infected with COVID-19. This way, the public can be sure that these places are safe to visit once operations resume.

With four LTO offices closed, it would be best for the public to go to other offices near them for services.
