Sorsogon City Coastal Road looks beautiful, day or night
New Sorsogon City Coastal Road officially opened to the public

Roads that pass through the coastline provide some of the best views. If you have ever driven along CAVITEX/Coastal Road or the Patapat Viaduct in Ilocos Norte, then you'll probably have an idea of what we're talking about. Further down south in the province of Sorsogon, there's a new coastal road and we can't wait to drive on it.

The newly completed Sorsogon City Coastal Road has officially been opened to the public. The 5.52-kilometer road is four-lanes wide and features three bridges. It passes through several barangays in the area; namely Sirangan, Sampaloc, and Balogo in Sorsogon City, and stretches as far as Barangay Pangpang, Tugos, Cambulaga, and Talisay.

Based on the photos provided by the Sorsogon Provincial Information Office (PIO), the Sorsogon City Coastal Road looks great. Whether in the morning or night, you'll surely enjoy the view. We're certain tourists from other provinces including those in Metro Manila will try to visit the once quarantine measures have been lifted.

Apart from providing a scenic route through the province, the Sorsogon City Coastal Road will also ease traffic in the town centers. Traveling to and from barangays will also be faster. More importantly, the new coastal road will protect the surrounding area from storm surges each time a typhoon passes through the region.
With plans of extending the South Luzon Expressway (SLEx) to Sorsogon, driving along the Sorsogon City Coastal Road will be much easier in the future and not to mention faster. For now, we'll just have to admire it from these photos.
