Bentley's luxury grand tourer will be all new come 2018 after our spies were able to snap some photos of the 2018 Continental, specifically the soft top GTC.
Spotted undergoing road tests in Germany, the new Continental GTC prototype appears to take styling cues from the EXP 10 Speed 6 concept that was revealed at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. Up front, the 2018 GTC gets a restyled grill and a longer hood. The low-slung front bumper appears to have been carried-over however.
Towards the side, more design details from the concept car can be seen. These include the muscular wheel arches, tapered side skirts and sharp panel lines. The rear, on the other hand, gets elongated taillights and what appears to be a cleaner-looking rear bumper.
Chassis-wise, the new Bentley Continental GT and GTC will be underpinned by the new MSB platform. It's the same frame from which the 2017 Porsche Panamera sits on, which will allow the Crewed-based automaker to use Porsche-derived tech which may also include a hybrid powertrain.
Expect the W12 engine to be at the top-of-the-range of the 2018 Continental while lesser variants will be propelled by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8. The hybrid powertrain, on the other hand, may be sourced from Porsche.
