Previously, we got a glimpse of the upcoming C-Class sedan facelift out testing in harsh conditions. Now, our spies were able to take photos of the more powerful AMG C63 sedan possibly on a road test.
Like its non-AMG sedan counterpart, the C63 was spotted featuring a heavily camouflaged front fascia, which unlike the standard C-Class, now even covers the front grill. Something peculiar to note is that this C63 sedan prototype is seen using the previous halogen headlights, which are usually reserved for the entry-level models. Do expect that the production model of the C63 sedan will feature all-new LED headlights, such as the ones spotted on the C-Class. Other noticeable differences found are the new air- intakes and slightly revised rear bumper.
The next big question would be whether the AMG C63 sedan will also feature the Panamericana grill. The grill in question is currently found on the GLC63 and GLC63 Coupe uses, along with the AMG GT. Given that the grill has been heavily camouflaged compared to the C-Class, it is highly likely to be featured as well.
Our spies were not able to provide interior shots, but expect it to have the same features found on the C-Class' infotainment system. Part of the interior upgrade for the C63 sedan is said to include a new dual all-digital screen option, with the cluster and dials being updated as well. Although this information has yet to be confirmed.
As for the power plant, there is no word whether the 4.0-liter biturbo V8 will be updated. From the factory, the engine already produces 463 PS on the standard C63 and 503 PS on the C63 S version. Both of which, have enough power and torque to have us assume that it could be left untouched.
