It looks like Audi's tiny crossover will get a serious power upgrade soon as our spies saw what appears to be the upcoming SQ2. When launched, the range-topping SQ2 may likely benefit from an upgraded turbocharged powertrain as well as quattro all-wheel drive (AWD).
Wearing no camouflage whatsoever, we get to see a clear look on what to expect on the SQ2. Compared to standard models, the SQ2 features bigger air intakes on the front bumper. Also different is the new Singleframe front grill which further denotes its more powerful credentials.
Moving further, the rear bumper on the SQ2 is also slightly different from run-of-the-mill versions and it gets quad exhaust pipes. Bigger wheels and beefier brakes also appear to be present on the prototype SQ2. Finally, stickier tires could also make their way in the hot crossover.
Under the hood, the SQ2 could come with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder found in the S3. With that in mind, this particular crossover could produce 300 PS along with nearly 400 Nm of torque. A dual-clutch transmission, along with quattro all-wheel drive are expected to be saddled along with the potent turbo inline-four.
It's highly likely that Audi will release the all-new SQ2 some time later this year or in early 2019.
