It comes as no surprise that Aston Martin’s new flagship will soon be followed up with an al fresco version much like its predecessors. With the DB11 having since debuted in standard coupe form, the Volante version can’t come soon enough.
For the aesthetic end, there’s not much difference from the coupe apart from the roof itself. The most recent sighting by our spies reveals the DB11 Volante sporting a grey canvas soft top as well as very light camouflage around the rear section.
It also comes as no surprise that the trunk section has become somewhat bigger and flatter compared to the coupe thanks to the mechanism that stows the roof away.
Power will still come from the 5.2L twin-turbo V12 pushing 608 PS. However, the 4.0-liter twin turbo V8 from AMG will soon become an available option on both the standard coupe and Volante versions of the DB11. As plastered on the test mule, we can expect to see the DB11 Volante make its debut around spring of 2018.
