It looks like Cadillac may soon have an offering for the compact crossover segment by way of the upcoming XT3. Our spies have sighted this heavily camouflaged mule out for cold weather testing. From the looks of it, the XT3 will slot under the XT5 and is set to compete against the Audi Q3, BMW X1, and the Mercedes GLA despite its larger size.

Spied: Cadillac XT3 out for winter testing

While the crossover is heavily camouflaged, we can see the plunging pentagonal mesh grille pattern as well as multiple LED lights on each corner. The rear end has driving lights and illumination on its C-pillar, suggesting that the lights that the camo is concealing is also likely fake.

On the performance end, a fairly sizeable intercooler peeks through the camo. This means a turbo four cylinder will likely be housed under the bonnet. Sources suggest this will be mated to a 9-speed automatic and all-wheel drive may likely come as an option.

Expect to see the Cadillac XT3 sometime mid-2018.
