Next-gen Audi S7 spotted with sleeker body

It's been a long while since we last saw Audi testing the all-new A7. Back in August 2016, our insiders were able to get a glimpse of the next-gen four-door coupe being tested on a close track in Europe. Now, our spies were able to get a better look at the more powerful version of the four-door, the S7.

Apparently slated to be released as a 2018 model year, the S7 sports the brand's new design direction. Like the all-new flagship A8 that was launched several days ago, the upcoming S7 gets the brand's prominent Singleframe grill, along with the new set of headlights.

Despite the use of camo, we still get to see the signature sloping roofline the model has become known for. The rear is heavily camouflaged as well, but it looks like the S7 may get the similar taillight design from its bigger sibling, the A8.

While Audi typically makes both the standard and 'S' models look alike, do expect to see subtle creases and minor changes on the exterior of the S7 to make itself more distinct.

With a dual quad exhaust system, it's highly likely that Audi will power the S7 with either a tuned V6 or V8. But according to our spies, it's most likely the new S7 will go for the 4.0-liter TFSI V8 that can produce well over 460 PS.

Do expect to see many elements of the A8's interior be carried-over to the S7, including some of its features like the foot massage and AI Traffic Jam Pilot (which allows the car to drive itself at speeds of up to 60 km/h).

The all-new S7 is set to make its global debut sometime in 2018, which may closely follow with the launch of the standard A7 four-door coupe.
