Given the presence of oddly-styled crossovers such as the Nissan Juke, it seems a good part of the market takes interest in styling that departs from the conventional format for crossovers. That said it seems Hyundai has taken notice as it appears are following in the stride of Nissan – with their own crossover with unique styling.
Set for a debut sometime 2017, the baby crossover will take cues from the 2014 Intrado Concept. Its fresh and off-beat styling will place it against the likes of the Nissan Juke, Renault Captur, and the Opel Mocca X.
Likely the underpinnings of this new crossover will be based off the i20, while a mix of parts from both the i20 and the upcoming i30 will be used as well. That said, rumors indicate that this new crossover will likely share powertrain options with the i30. Options for front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive will also likely be present for the upcoming model.
