An even more powerful Lamborghini Aventador is apparently in the works. The House of the Raging Bull was recently spotted by our insiders testing what appear to be a test mule of the Aventador Performante.
Based on the images, the front fascia appears to be carrying a prototype front bumper. The rear, on the ther hand, has the same exhaust pipe layout from the recently launched Huracan Performante. Even though the central pipe is still there, our spies indicated that it was fake and the exhaust fumes were coming out of the new exhaust layout.
The rear bumper appears to be the same but if Lamborghini plans on introducing its line of Forged Composites Carbon Fiber composites, the automaker may soon replace the stock parts for the lightweight components. The Aventador Performante may also be equipped with active aero tech called the 'Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva'.
It's not clear whether the Performante variant will sit atop the range-topping SV or will act as a mid-range version that will slot between the S and SV versions. As a reminder, both the Aventador SV and S are powered by a tuned 6.5-liter V12. The former generates 750 PS and 690 Nm of torque while the Aventador S is rated to produce 740 PS and 690 Nm.
When officially revealed, the Aventador Performante will be lighter by several kilograms and will have a souped-up engine, much like the Huracan Performante.
