Spied: Lamborghini Huracan Spyder getting Performante version?

Lamborghini Huracan Performante spotted testing with cloth roof

Following a month after the unveiling of Lamborghini's record breaking Huracan Performante at the Geneva International Motor Show, our spies were able to take photos of the upcoming Spyder version of Lamborghini's track-oriented Huracan.

Based off the images, we see that the Huracan Performante Spyder is still hidden under heavy camouflage. The camo looks identical to that found on the standard Huracan Performante. Despite the camouflage however, the photos do show no major differences as there are no obvious faux panels used. Therefore, it would be safe to assume that the body would identical to that of the standard Huracan Peformante.

What is not camouflaged however, is the new cloth roof. Given that the Performante is made to be track-ready from the factory, the loss of the roof would possibly further reduce the weight of the Performante Spyder. Since details are scarce as of the moment, it is possible that the way the roof is operated could be different from that of the standard Huracan to save on weight.

Powering the Huracan Performante Spyder would presumably be the same upgraded 5.2-liter V10 which produces 630PS and 600 Nm of torque and power sent through a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox.

With the help of Forged Composites, the Huracan Peformante was claimed to have broken the Nurburgring record. As the Performante Spyder is expected to be lighter, we will have to wait till what performance figures the Huracan Performante Spyder will produce.
