Audi is indeed busy developing an all-new high-performance hatchback. Expected to make its world debut at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show, our insiders were able to take photographs of the 2018 RS4 Avant being tested in the snow.
According to our spies, previous prototypes only had fake wheel arches and a modified front bumper derived from the S4. Today, however, the new RS4 Avant gets a unique front fascia and the correct front bumper. In addition, the new RS4 appears to have a new rear spoiler.
Unique to the 2018 RS4 Avant are the boxy wheel arches. This could be a nod to the much revered UR Quattro of yesteryear.
Power will come in the form of a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 that was supposedly derived from the new Porsche Panamera 4S. It will apparently crank out 450 PS along with 605 Nm of torque. If this is the case, the 2018 RS4 Avant can go from 0 – 100 km/h in less than 4 seconds.
It is highly likely that the 2018 Audi RS4 Avant will make its world debut at this year's Frankurt Motor Show.
