Porsche's baby crossover has been in the market for quite a while now and while it's still relatively new, it could do with a mid-cycle update. Back in February, our spies were able to take photos of what appear to be the prototype version of the Macan facelift. Based on the pictures, it gets a revised front fascia along with heavily camouflaged rear.

Spied: Porsche Macan all set to receive a makeover

Now, our insiders were able to take new photos of the Macan facelift being tested on public roads. Like the Macan we saw in February, the exterior revisions are pretty subtle while other portions of the crossover are still kept under wraps. The headlights sport some camouflage which could indicate they will get a redesign. Also seen at the front is what looks to be bigger chin spoiler though the design appears to be in its prototype phase still.

The LED taillights are camouflaged as well, further indicating Porsche is planning something for the crossover's rear. For all we know, our insiders suspect Porsche plans on giving it an LED stripe which is reminiscent on the new Panamera.

Our spies were not able to get up close to see the Macan facelift's interior though they suspect that it will also be getting a mild update inside. Apart from that, updated engines could also make their way in the Macan refresh.

It is expected that the Porsche Macan update will debut by the end of 2017 or during Q1 of 2018.
