Two weeks ago, our spy photographers managed to snap some pictures of the 2018 Ford Fiesta being tested on European roads. Now, a new set of photos have arrived and they appear to be the next-generation Fiesta ST.
Compared to the standard Fiesta, the hotter Fiesta ST appears to have a slightly altered front end along with a different set of alloy wheels. Also present is what looks to be an intercooler sitting behind the front bumper. This may suggest that the Fiesta ST will continue to be driven by an EcoBoost powertrain.
With an emphasis on performance and improved aerodynamics, the front bumper may not carry foglights given its clean design. The standard 2018 Fiesta however will have them. Similarities between the run-of-the-mill and ST models however, include the more upswept headlights, clamshell hood, distinct grooves on the roof and wide taillights.
In terms of cabin amenities, the new Fiesta ST is expected to be fitted with Ford's SYNC 3 system which comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capability.
