Renault is not only busy with the upcoming Alpine sports car for 2017 it seems. According to our spies, the automaker is apparently also developing what could be their most powerful production Clio to date.
Still in its prototype stages, the upcoming Clio RS 16 features a pre-dominantly black exterior that comes with a new bodykit, large alloy wheels wrapped in low-profile tires and a prominent rear spoiler.
Our spies also mentioned that the Clio RS 16 will have a different exhaust system and will not have rear seats to save on weight.
It will reportedly be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four found in the Megane 275 Trophy R. It produces 275 PS and will be mated to manual gearbox.
Around 500 examples of the Clio RS 16 may be produced.
