Sportier version of Audi’s executive saloon well underway
With the all-new Audi A6 having been revealed for quite some time already, it’s no surprise that the sportier S6 should follow suit soon. Looks like Audi’s still in the middle of developing it as our spies have caught the executive saloon in full camo testing at the ‘ring recently.
As can be expected with Audi, the S6 does not deviate much from the shape and contours of the standard A6. The only things that do set it apart at this point are the larger intakes on the front fascia, its lower ride height, wider wheels, and a quad tip exhaust.
Still, the car bears a completely different profile once it’s lowered on a decent set of wheels – perhaps those quad tips also give it a distinct note as well compared to the A6.
Power can be expected to come from the 440PS 2.9L V6 found on the Porsche Panamera 4S. Once it makes its debut late next year, we could expect similar power figures out of the new S6.
