With winter testing in full swing for a lot of manufacturers, it appears Fiat Chrysler (FCA) has been testing with a slew of their upcoming products as well. Our spies have chanced upon the updated Jeep Renegade conducting tests along with its bigger Wrangler brethren, and while the relevant panels are hidden in camo we can see a few new cues for Jeep’s munchkin offering.
For starters, the front fascia sees a complete revision. The foglights have now been drawn closer to the center, while the grill itself gets a little more chrome detail instead of the standard vertical slats. The headlights – while still available with an LED option – appear to have changed slightly as well.
At the back end the tail lights get a minor revision yet still retain the X-pattern inside the housing. A new rear fascia with extra vents can be seen as well.
Supposedly, the Jeep Renegade will see some changes to the interior as well. For now our spies speculate that it may well receive a larger sat-nav and infotainment screen as well as new climate control dials. Power is expected to still come from the 1.4-liter turbocharged MultiAir2 inline-four.
Expect to see the updated Jeep Renegade later this year as a 2019 model.
