Volkswagen Brazil recently revealed the Gol GT concept, based on the third-generation Gol, at this year's Sao Paulo Motor Show.

The Gol GT concept's designers were given free-reign by the company to improve the Volkswagen Gol and make it distinct from all the other concepts and cars at the motor show.

With that in mind, the Gol GT concept features a muscular body kit along with enlarged air vents. It is also equipped with dual exhaust tips, a pair of full-LED headlights, roof-mounted spoiler, and faux rear diffuser.

The GT concept is painted in Gray Volcano accented with red color. It also rides on 18-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the Volkswagen Gol GT concept features a predominantly black cabin accented with series of red color including the new body-hugging seats. It is also equipped with a flat-bottomed steering wheel that gets a 'GT' logo while the air vent design is reminiscent of the first-gen Gol GT.

The company did not provide further details regarding its engine. If a production version comes out, however, it will most likely be powered by a 1.0-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine thatis mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.

The engine produces an output of 117 PS and 200 Nm of torque. With it, the hatchback can sprint from 0 - 100 km/h in only 9.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 204 km/h.

The Sao Paulo Motor Show runs from November 8 to 20, 2016.
