Better plan your routes before November 30 as the 2019 Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) will officially begin this coming Friday.

With it, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) recently announced that they will be implementing stop-and-go traffic schemes along major roadways from November 30 until December 11. Whenever SEA Games delegates will pass, all traffic along the affected roadways will be stopped in order to give way for the country envoys.

Roads that will be part of the said traffic scheme along EDSA Southbound are:

-Balintawak

-Munoz

-SM North

-Cubao – New York to Monte de Piedad

-Santolan

-Ortigas

-Shaw Boulevard

-Boni Serrano

-Buendia cor. Macapagal

-Ayala Magallanes

-Roxas Boulevard

Meanwhile, over at EDSA Northbound, the following roads that will also have stop-and-go traffic scheme will be:

-Roxas Boulevard

-Taft Avenue

-Ayala

-Buendia

-Shaw Boulevards splits

-Megamall

-Santolan

-SM North

-Munoz

-Balintawak

Besides EDSA, roads heading towards SLEX Northbound will also be implementing the traffic scheme:

-Mindanao Ave – North Avenue to SLEX

-Roxas Boulevard cor. P. Burgos

-Taft Avenue cor. P Ocampo

-Adriatico RMS Area

-Quirino cor. Adriatico

-Shaw Boulevard cor Pioneer

-Lawton Avenue cor. Bayani

The MMDA has advised motorists to plan out their trips ahead, as well as use alternate routes that are not part of the stop-and-go traffic scheme.
