Subaru is going all out at this year's Tokyo Motor Show it seems. Aside from the Viziv Performance Concept, S208 and BRZ STI Sport, Subaru will also be presenting two new concepts based off the Impreza and XV along with a limited edition Outback.
First up is the Impreza Future Sport Concept which incorporates new and updated styling elements in Subaru's C-segment offering. Finished in a distinct Yellow Pearl hue, the hatchback concept gets revised front and rear bumpers that deliver better aerodynamics. It also gets a lower center of gravity and center-mounted exhaust pipes which further adds to the sportiness of the concept In addition, the Sport Concept also gets blacked-out LED headlights, dark alloy wheels and smoked taillights.
Next up is the XV Fun Adventure. Unlike the sedan concept, this particular crossover gets a more rugged redesign along with additional extras. Immediately apparent on the concept are the chunky Yokohama Geolandar M/T tires and Yellow Metallic paint finish. New body cladding is also present on the XV Fun Adventure which further denote the crossover's off-road capability. Beyond that, Subaru also gave the crossover concept a roof rack, slightly raised ride height and matte black alloy wheels.
Apart from the two unique concepts, a special edition model of the Outback will also be on display during the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show. It's called the Outback Limited Smart Edition and is based off the top-spec model offered in Japan. While the exterior largely remains the same, it's inside where Subaru was busy making improvements on the Outback.
For starters, all of the seats and panels are now upholstered in 'Ultrasuede'. New silver trim accents spruce up the cabin along with a new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment that comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Topping it all off is the Harman/Kardon audio system which comes as standard on the Limited Smart Edition.
The 45th Tokyo Motor Show will be open to the public from October 27 – November 5.
