Motor Image Pilipinas Inc., the official distributor of Subaru in the Philippines, announces the 2014 Palm Challenge: Philippine face-off which will take place next month.
The Subaru Palm Challenge concept derives itself from an endurance contest that was first held in Singapore last 2002. In the Palm Challenge, participants are required to place their palm on a specific area of the car with the last person standing winning the competition.
Last year's grand winner, Yusman Wright from Singapore outdid 399 participants from Thailand, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Sigapore with a time of 75 hours and 1 minute.
With this, the 2014 Palm Challenge: Phillipines Face-Off is set to find 10 contestants to represent the country in the Subaru Palm Challenge - Asian Face-Off. Subaru is inviting everyone to take part in one of the three legs:
- September 6, 2014 - SM Lanang Premier, Davao City
- September 13, 2014 - Ayala Center Cebu, Cebu City
- September 27, 2014 - Bonifacio High Street, Activity Area, Bonifacio Global City
Subaru says one winner each from the provincial legs will join the eight other winners from Manila to complete the top 10 challengers who will represent the Philippines on an all-expense paid trip to Singapore. There, they will compete with finalists from other Asian countries. The grand prize for the Subaru Challenge - Asian Face-off is a brand new Subaru XV 2.0i worth PHP 1.298 million.
Interested participants must be at least 18 years old as of January 1, 2014, a Filipino passport holder and in good health condition. The registration for the Subaru Palm Challenge is now open at the Subaru Showroom Greenhills, Global City, Manila Bay, Alabang, Batangas, Cebu and Davao.
