Still waiting for your all-new Subaru Forester to arrive? We’re happy to announce that there will be a shorter waiting period for those still waiting for their units to arrive. Motor Image Pilipinas (MIP), the official distributor of Subaru in the country, recently announced that they have brought more units of the Forester i-S Eyesight to address the months-long waiting time of customers.

Since its launch in January 2019 in the Philippines, Subaru was not able to keep up with customer demand for the first half of the year. This resulted in clients having to wait for 2 months before actually getting their hands on one. To address this issue, MIP brought more stocks of the Japan-made Forester i-S Eyesight to the country.

In review, the all-new Forester first made its local debut back in Q1 of 2019. It’s available in three variants, is available with Eyesight tech package (adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, low-speed follow cruise control, lane change assist, etc.), and all are powered by 2.0-liter Boxer engine that puts out 156 PS and 196 Nm of torque.

Like most other Subarus offered today, it is mated to a Lineartronic continuously variable transmission, along with Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system. Should the going get tough, the Forester also comes with X-Mode which helps drivers get through the rough terrain. When activated, X-Mode delivers more torque, makes use of lower gear ratios, adjusts the AWD system accordingly, as well as make use of hill-descent control when going down steep hills.

Other available features on the all-new Forester include: leather upholstery, power-adjustable seats, automatic LED headlights, power-rear tailgate, sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, and push-button fold down rear seats.
