Maruti Suzuki, a subsidiary of the Japanese automaker, has released the official images of the Ciaz and it will go on sale next month in India.
The Ciaz takes its design cues from the Authentics concept that was shown at the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show. The vehicle measures 4490mm long, 1730mm wide and 1485mm tall with a wheelbase of 2650mm.
The front design of the Ciaz is incorporated with a chrome grille and projector headlights. The side profile of the vehicle has chrome door handles and flowing lines. The rear features a chrome bar that is situated between the large taillights. The Ciaz sits on a 16-inch alloy wheels and its trunk compartment measures at 510-liters.
The Ciaz has a two-tone interior alone along with a three-spoke steering wheel. The center panel is designed with wood trim accent that can also be seen on the vehicle's door panels. It also has a touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation, automatic climate control, push start button and rear AC vents.
For the Indian market, the Ciaz is powered either by a 1.4-liter gasoline engine that delivers 92 PS with 130 Nm of torque or a 1.3-liter diesel that generates 90 PS with 200 Nm.
The Suzuki Ciaz is also expected to be offered to the ASEAN market as well, however the exact nameplate might be different.
